      This is a must-have for any garage! I have always hated fighting with extension cords: untangling them, running around corners, untying knots, etc. This product solves those problems. It is a VERY high quality product, not cheap plastic. My dad has had one in his garage for about 10 years now. I finally got one for my garage and I love it.

      The cord is long enough for most uses. I can plug in my shop vac and clean out my car across the driveway pretty easily with this. Also, the unit attaches to the garage ceiling (to a wood beam, NOT to the drywall), feels very sturdy, and plugs into a very convenient plug next to the garage door opener. If you don't have an automatic garage door opener, or yours is wired directly without an outlet next to it, you might want to mount this on the wall instead. The small cord for plugging the unit in is only about 1'-1.5' long. It would kind of defeat the purpose if you had to use an extension cord to plug in your extension cord.

      Overall, I would recommend this product to anyone. It can be a little difficult to install, but once it is mounted, you will love it! The instructions are very easy to follow, so if you can't do it yourself you can ask the neighbor's kid instead.

But I figured out there are latches on only parts of the reel, so you need to pull until you don't hear the latches, and then it will reel back in. Don't pull it all the way out - it is pretty difficult to reel back in. But so far it is working great! Installed easily, and I love the multiple outlets and cord stop.
